Good quality hay and straw
Vegetables!! If you are able to just add a few extra when you go shopping we have some very efficient veggie eaters here who would be more than grateful!
Other ways to help our cause
Don’t buy your animals, their feed, toys or anything else from Petsmart, Pets at Home or any other pet shop or breeder who trade in or profit from the sale of live animals (even if they don’t do so at that particular branch)
Spread the word that we are here to anyone who tells you they are thinking of getting rabbits or guinea pigs. If they aren’t in this area get them to look at www.rabbitrehome.org.uk or www.guineapigrehome.org.uk for more information
Get wise about which household products and companies support animal testing (for which so many rabbits and guinea pigs are still bred) by looking on www.naturewatch.org.uk and buying this shopping guide for just £2.50:

Think you shop cruelty-free? Think again!
The majority of shoppers are still unaware that our shelves are packed with products whose ingredients have been tested outside the UK. Consumer demand for new and improved ingredients drive the demand for animal testing in cosmetics and household products. Be part of the solution and not the problem - use the Compassionate Shopping Guide!
