Rehoming and Admissions Policy
Admissions Policy
- If you bring an animal/s into Green Fields Rescue, you must understand that once you have, we will rehome the animal/s as we see fit and as we believe are in the very best lifetime interests of the animal/s concerned.
- If you know the animal is ill or has a specific problem, please tell us. We wont turn you away, but we need to know the whole truth about the animals history so that we can rehome them to the right owner and take steps to prevent illness spreading to other animals in the rescue if appropriate.
- We expect that when you bring an animal/s into Green Fields Rescue, you will give us a donation to cover the costs we will incur in getting them ready to be rehomed. Such as vaccinations, spaying or neutering and other veterinary care.
Rehoming Policy
- We do not rehome to breeders looking for “stock” and are against deliberate breeding of any kind.
- We would like to do a home check prior to you adopting from Green Fields Rescue. We aren’t being nosey or checking up on you! Often the home check brings to light useful hints and tips that maybe you hadn’t thought of and helps us find the right animal for your character and lifestyle.
- We ask you to fill out and sign an adoption agreement form. This confirms your commitment to the animals wellbeing in your care.
- After rehoming, and for the rest of the animals life, if you have any questions or problems, no matter how small, we will be at the end of the phone to help you as much as we can.
- If at anytime in the future you become unable to care for your pet as agreed, you must return them to us. Please don’t try to rehome the animal yourself.
- We do not “sell” animals. But we hope that when you adopt animal from us you feel able to make a donation to the rescue. We are totally reliant on donations for our funding our continuing work at Green Fields Rescue.
